Prior to founding 1stWorks Corporation in 2000, Mr. Spicer was President of Fast Engines, Inc., based in Cambridge, MA, a developer of web site performance improvement software, which was purchased by Adero Inc., in March 2000. Prior to Fast engines, Mr. Spicer joined Microsystems Software, Inc. in 1994, serving as its President and COO. Located in Framingham, MA, MSI created easy to use yet sophisticated software solutions for corporate networks and the Internet, including Cyber Patrol, the leading Internet content filtering solution. MSI was purchased by The Learning Company in 1998. Prior to MSI, Mr. Spicer served in executive positions with Locus Computing Corporation and AGE Logic Corporation. From 1980, Mr. Spicer served as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Alloy Computer Products, Inc., driving revenue to $50 million in 1986 and the foundation for a successful IPO in June of that year. Prior to Alloy, Mr. Spicer was a Product Marketing Director at Incoterm Corporation in Wellesley, MA, later a subsidiary of Honeywell Information Systems. |
