Nicole D’Hondt is an Associate with the Ocean Tomo Auctions Team out of the firm’s Chicago headquarters. Nicole began her career with Ocean Tomo following the first live auction, providing operational support and infrastructure as the Auctions Coordinator. As the auctions practice has grown Nicole has increasingly focused her work in varying aspects of facilitating sale transactions, including assisting with the submission review process, completing patent research and identification and managing auction lots and due diligence.
Prior to joining Ocean Tomo, Nicole worked in a support capacity for international law firm Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where she gained experience in several practice departments, including Intellectual Property, Commercial Litigation, and Corporate Acquisitions. While at K&E, Nicole was responsible for the management of electronic document databases; Nicole also instrumentally assisted in the trying of an IP case involving claims of patent infringement. While in school Nicole interned with the Sales and Marketing Departments of San Francisco Magazine. As an intern Nicole initiated business contacts for future marketing initiatives, as well as developed promotional marketing mediums for the magazine’s annual Best of the Bay Area gala, which drew over two thousand attendees.
