Nicole Siemens practices in the areas of securities litigation and arbitration, and white collar and regulatory defense. She has successfully tried cases in Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Oregon and Texas. She has experience in civil, criminal and regulatory securities-related matters, including investor-broker disputes involving trading practices, broker-dealer disputes involving promissory notes, complex multi-party securities fraud litigation, criminal securities fraud defense, and regulatory investigations.Nicole has made a firm commitment to pro bono service and recently represented a Hmong woman who was forced to execute an agreement in which she conveyed all interest in her real property to her cultural husband, as a condition of receiving a cultural divorce. The court held the agreement was unconscionable and had been executed under duress. The court ordered the sale of the property and half of the proceeds to the client.Nicole is a member of the American, Minnesota and Hennepin County Bar associations. She is also a member of Lindquist & Vennum’s Diversity Committee. Nicole was named a Rising Star by Minnesota Law & Politics magazine in 2004 and 2005. |
