Nicole L. Castle is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Washington, D.C. office. She is a member of the Firm's Antitrust and Competition Practice Group, where her practice focuses on complex civil and criminal antitrust litigation. In addition, her practice includes representing clients in government investigations and merger notification counseling under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act.
Prior to joining the Firm, Nicole was an intern at the Federal Trade Commission where she assisted with antitrust investigations and litigation..
Nicole earned her Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center, where she was a member of The Georgetown Journal of Gender and the Law and authored a note, "Sexual Harassment in Education", 6 Geo. J. Gender & L. 521 (2005).
Representative Experience
United States v. Stora Enso North America Corp., Crim. No. 03:06cr323 (CFD) (D.Conn. 2007): Successfully defended Stora Enso North America, which was charged with conspiring to fix the price of publication paper in violation of the federal antitrust laws. Following a five-day trial, the jury acquitted Stora Enso of all charges.
Nicole is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and the District of Columbia.
