Nicole K. Mann is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm's Chicago office. As a member of the Private Client Department, Nicole focuses her practice on the planning and implementation of tax and estate plans for individuals and families. Specifically she advises on the preparation of wills and various types of trusts, including revocable trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, dynasty trusts, minors' trusts, grantor-retained annuity trusts, split interest trusts and wholly charitable trusts.
Nicole also has experience in implementing wealth transfer techniques, including the use of limited partnerships, limited liability companies, buy-sell and shareholder agreements, intra-family loans, sales to defective grantor trusts and other leveraged gift techniques. She has advised on S corporation planning, and has also counseled clients on corporate governance matters. In addition, Nicole has experience in asset protection, estate administration and trustee litigation.
She served as the notes and comments editor of the Chicago-Kent Law Review. A member of the Chicago Bar Association, Nicole is admitted to practice in Illinois.
