Building on over three decades of experience as a lawyer, public official, and community leader, Mr. Bradbury counsels both national and California clients in a broad range of complex litigation and business-related matters. With his extensive criminal justice background and knowledge of the workings of government and business, he is particularly well positioned to provide counseling to clients on strategic evaluation, complex litigation, and white collar criminal defense.
Prior to joining Weston Benshoof, Mr. Bradbury served for 24 years as the District Attorney of Ventura County, California, and 33 years as a prosecutor. As District Attorney, he headed an office with an annual budget of $50 million and a staff of over 600 people, which was recognized as one of the best and most innovative law enforcement agencies in the nation. He was the first District Attorney in California´s history to twice be elected president of the California District Attorneys Association, and he also served many years on the Board of Directors of the National District Attorneys Association. He has served Governors and Presidents and received some of law enforcements highest awards.
In April 2003, Mr. Bradbury received the Lifetime Achievement Award presented by the Alliance of California Law Enforcement. In November 2003, in London, he delivered a paper on "Corporate Governance and the Response to Government Investigations."
In November 2004, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger appointed Mr. Bradbury to the 31st Agricultural District Board of Directors.
