Nick V. Farah is the vice president of Surveillance Systems for L-3 Communications Integrated Systems (L-3/IS). In this capacity he has profit and loss (P&L) as well as growth responsibility for programs in the maritime surveillance, coastal patrol, air-ground surveillance, and SIGINT markets. Current key programs under Farah’s management and direction include ASTOR, SIVAM, MPSA, Sea Sentinel, Canadian CP-140, New Zealand P-3 Systems Upgrade, Korea Lot II, and Swedish Coast Guard. He was appointed to his current position in January 2003. Formerly, Farah served as the vice president of Program Excellence where he provided leadership and cross-functional direction to the company through Six Sigma, Program Management and Product Assurance. He worked for Hughes Aircraft Company, Missile Systems Group from 1986 to 1989 and joined L-3/IS in 1989 as a chief engineer. Prior to being appointed vice president, he was the senior director for Project / Chief Engineers for all of L-3/IS. Farah earned a bachelor of electrical and computer engineering degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1985. |
