Description of Practice:
Nicholas B. Waranoff is a partner in the Litigation and Real Estate Departments of the firm's San Francisco office. He has an interdisciplinary practice that includes all aspects of real estate litigation, representation of landlords in bankruptcy cases filed by tenants, and negotiation of retail leases. He also has extensive experience in general business litigation. He has tried numerous cases, and argued several appeals. Mr. Waranoff emphasizes Alternative Dispute Resolution in seeking to solve his client's problems.
Prior to joining Allen Matkins, Mr. Waranoff was a partner in Brobeck Phleger & Harrison LLP.
He is an associate member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, as well the American Bar Association, and the Bar Association of San Francisco. He has presented programs and/or been a panelist on programs sponsored by the International Council of Shopping Centers, by the Real Property Law Section of the State Bar of California, and by the Georgetown University Law Center. Mr. Waranoff has been recognized several times by the Bar Association of San Francisco as an Outstanding Volunteer in Public Service and as a Volunteer of the Month.
Educational History:
Mr. Waranoff graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. degree in 1967 and graduated from New York University School of Law with a J.D (cum laude) in 1971, where he was an editor of the Law Review and was awarded Order of the Coif. |
