Dr. Levy has served as a director of Targeted Genetics since May 1999. Since 1993, Dr. Levy has served as chairman of the board and chief executive officer of CoreTechs Corporation, a privately held company that focuses on the development and marketing of early-stage technologies. He served as president of Fujisawa Pharmaceutical Company, the U.S. subsidiary of Japan’s third-largest pharmaceutical company, from 1992 to 1993, as chief executive officer of CoreTechs from 1984 to 1992 and as vice president for pharmaceutical research at Abbott Laboratories from 1981 to 1984. Dr. Levy served as a tenured professor of microbiology and immunology at Duke University from 1970 to 1981. He currently serves as a director of several privately held companies and on the scientific advisory boards of several public and privately held biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. Dr. Levy received his B.A. from Yale University, his M.D. from Columbia University and his Ph.D. from Duke University. |
