Mr. Ned Renzi is a founding partner of Birchmere Ventures where he focuses on engineering driven technologies and medical devices. He is a current or past director of COPD Partners, Cvent, Entigo, Lightningcast, and Plextronics. He is also a Founding Charter Member and current board member of TiE Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Venture Capital Association. Mr. Renzi is also a frequent guest lecturer at Carnegie Mellon University. He has over 17 years experience in founding, managing, and investing in high technology companies. He was previously a Senior Manager at Concurrent Technologies Corporation, a $225 million high technology research organization, where he developed CTC’s telemedicine business and was also responsible for e-commerce, web programming, high speed networking, and virtual reality projects. Mr. Renzi was also a senior manager in the U.S. Department of Defense Special Projects group where he was responsible for wireless communications, custom software projects, robotics, and various sensor technologies. He holds an M.B.A. from the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh, and a Master’s in Engineering Management from George Washington University. He also earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University. |
