Neal Yanos is senior vice president and general manager for Tenneco's North American Ride Control and Aftermarket businesses. The combined organization allows the company to leverage the entire product life cycle from the start of the OE development process through the installation of replacement products on vehicles. Maintaining the alignment of the aftermarket ride control and exhaust teams allows the company to maximize the benefits of shared sales marketing engineering and business processes across product lines.
Named to this role in July 2003 Mr. Yanos has full responsibility for all aspects of the ride control and aftermarket businesses including manufacturing engineering sales/marketing finance and strategic planning and business development.
Prior to his current position he served as vice president and general manager for Tenneco Automotive's North American original equipment ride control unit following his role as director of the North American original equipment General Motors/VW business group. Mr. Yanos has an extensive background in the ride control business having joined Tenneco Automotive's Monroe ride control division in 1988 as a process engineer.
Since that time he has served in a broad range of assignments including product engineering strategic planning financial planning and analysis and program management and marketing. He was instrumental in the company's acquisition and joint venture efforts which helped expand ride control operations in South America and the Asia Pacific region. He also served as one of the team leaders for the 1996 acquisition of the Clevite elastomer business.
Before joining Tenneco Automotive Mr. Yanos held various engineering positions with Sheller Globe Inc. (currently a part of United Technologies) from 1985 to 1988. Mr. Yanos holds a B.S. degree in engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of Toledo. He is a professional engineer in the state of Ohio. |
