Natasha Ciancutti is the Managing Partner in Major, Lindsey & Africa’s San Francisco and Palo Alto offices and co-chairs the firm’s partner practice in Northern California. Her practice encompasses both retained partner search and partner candidate representation. With fourteen years of executive search experience, six of which have been dedicated exclusively to law firm partner and General Counsel search, Natasha combines an executive search methodology with deep knowledge of the local legal market to successfully recruit partners for our retained law firm clients.
In addition, her depth of knowledge of the world’s leading law firms and their local capabilities allows her to operate as an agent for partners considering alternative law firm platforms. When working with law firm partners, Natasha offers counseling, due diligence support, business plan development and introductions at the highest level to both long standing Bay area law firms and new entrants to the Northern California market. She has placed over 20 high profile law firm partners in recent years and has conducted General Counsel searches for companies in most industries.
Natasha gained her previous recruiting experience at Heidrick & Struggles, where she was a member of the legal search practice, and Highland Partners (formerly TMP), where she led retained partner searches for law firms and General Counsel searches. Historically, Natasha has conducted searches for CEO’s, CFO’s, COO’s, and Vice Presidents of Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Product Development. She has conducted executive level searches in investment banking, private equity, telecommunications, software, healthcare, biotechnology and life sciences, medical devices, hardware, financial services and professional services. She joined MLA in 2003 and was elected to the firm’s partnership in 2006. Natasha earned her B.A. in philosophy and English literature with honors at Mills College in 1993. She also holds a master’s degree in philosophy from the University of London. |
