Matter Management
Developed methodology to help law functions leverage existing technology investments and build business processes that improve system usage and mitigate legal risk is a more streamlined way.
Managed the development and rollout of an in-house developed litigation management portal with integrated electronic service of process [CSC], electronic billing [Tripoint] and discovery management [Introspect] for a Fortune 5 energy client. Solution included deployment of litigation management processes to global in-house and outside counsel for matter lifecycle and discovery management. Scope included: management of an offshore vendor for custom code development; deployment of litigation management metrics; deployment of decision-tree analysis software; deployment of trial support tools.
Managed the implementation of a workflow-enabled, web-based matter management system for the litigation section of a Fortune 100 pharmaceutical client. Solution included integration with Lotus Notes, electronic billing [Tripoint], risk management [STARS], and document management [OpenText].
Developed a collaboration portal for a "Virtual Legal Organization" for a chemical industry client that allowed in-house and outside counsel ubiquitous access to shared tools including matter, document, billing and intellectual property management software so legal service could be delivered on demand. Deployed portal with extensive process-based technology training to all users.
Legal Industry Operations
Managed and coordinated a proof of concept evaluation of an enterprise records management solution integrated with a document management system for a Fortune 100 financial services client.
Led the internal spending analysis of outside counsel and vendor spend to determine purchasing leverage points for several Fortune 50 clients.
Conducted an operations review for a 350 member law firm by interviewing attorneys and staff, researching benchmarks and metrics, and developing strategic, operational recommendations.
