Nancy Collins, Ph.D., RD, LD/N is a registered and licensed dietitian with a multi-faceted private practice based in South Florida. Dr. Collins has over fifteen years of practitioner experience in food service management, clinical nutrition, and consulting to health care institutions and industry. She is an expert in several clinical areas including the nutritional implications of pressure ulcers and has made over 250 presentations to medical groups on this subject. Dr. Collins is an editorial advisor to the journals Advances in Skin and Wound Care and Extended Care Product News, and is a member of the medical advisory board of the American Professional Wound Care Association. She is the immediate past Chair of the Nutrition Entrepreneur's DPG and is a past-president of the Florida Dietetic Association, a state-wide association of over 4000 nutrition practitioners. To recognize her longstanding contributions to the profession, Dr. Collins was the recipient of the 2003 Dietitian of the Year Award for the state of Florida.
