Since 1979, Nancy Abrams has concentrated her legal practice in the areas of labor and employment law. Before joining Spector Gadon & Rosen in November 1999, she practiced with the Philadelphia law firm of Jablon Epstein, well-regarded for its successful representation of high-profile cases that involve a wide range of workplace-related issues. During the course of her twenty-seven year legal career, Ms. Abrams also practiced with the firms of Blank, Rome, Comisky & McCauley (Philadelphia); Pechner, Dorfman, Wolffe, Rounick & Cabot (Philadelphia); and Rosenberg & Ufberg (Scranton, PA). Ms. Abrams also has significant experience in traditional labor and employment related problems involving private industry and the nursing home industry and has worked with many manufacturing and health care management teams. Ms. Abrams has authored numerous articles on employment-related topics for industry publications such as Personnel, Rental Management, Personnel Administration Journal of Commerce & Finance, and Honeywell Monthly. She has also applied her workplace-related legal experience as a past adjunct professor at Drexel University, as a participant in Pennsylvania Bar Institute's CLE seminars on employment law, one of which was broadcast state-wide via satellite, and as an instructor for numerous seminars for Lorman Education Services. A member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the American Arbitration Association, Ms. Abrams has also been co-chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association's Theatre Wing and is chair of the Board of Directors of the Feverdream Productions, a professional theater group in Philadelphia. Ms. Abrams is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the State of Florida. She graduated with cum laude honors from Harvard University and holds a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. |
