Following her retirement in December 2004, Nancy E. Smith was named by the board as "Executive Director Emeritus" in honor of her nine years of service to the Grossmont Healthcare District. A graduate of Strayer University in Washington, D.C., Smith brought to the board 30 years experience, including Administrative Assistant to U.S. Congressman Rogers C. B. Morton and Executive Assistant for Business Development of Teledyne, Inc. A resident of La Mesa, she joined the District staff in 1996. |
