Monique Hines is United's vice president of Information Services. She is based at the company's operations center in suburban Chicago.
Named to the position in May 2006, Hines is responsible for leading business information solutions delivery, including systems sourcing, development, deployment and support; technology planning, operations, telecommunications, security and service management; and IT architecture and strategy companywide.
Prior to her current position, she was managing director and chief of development, leading the Enterprise Application Delivery team. In this role, Hines was responsible for transforming United’s business information solutions delivery team; including establishment of centers of excellence, competency development, sourcing strategy and delivery capability improvements.
Before joining United in 2004, Hines served as vice president and chief information officer of Pactiv Corporation, a leader in the specialty packing industry, where she was responsible for all information technology services. She also held a number of leadership roles at Whirlpool Corporation and General Electric Capital Corporation, including vice president of Global Architecture & Business Consulting, vice president of Global Supply Chain, vice president of Information Services-North America, vice president of Enterprise Resource Planning and several other information services leadership positions, focused on significantly improving business operations, IT effectiveness and cost efficiency.
Hines serves on the board of SkyTECH Solutions, an India-based offshore IT Services Solutions Provider. She also serves on the board of trustees at Westlake Christian Academy. |
