Monica Wallace is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm's Chicago office. She is a member of the Firm's Health Law Department. Monica focuses her practice on general health law matters, advising hospital, industry, and physician clients on transactional, regulatory, licensing, clinical research, and compliance-related matters.
Prior to joining McDermott, Monica was a summer associate for a health law firm in Indiana. There, she performed work for healthcare clients in the practice of areas of general health, long-term care and retirement facilities, corporate, labor & employment, and litigation. During law school, Monica was a graduate assistant to the Director/CEO of the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics where she worked with hospital executive management on the strategic planning process for fiscal years 2005-2009.
Monica also worked with a team of individuals from Health Strategies & Solutions, Inc. and the Society For Healthcare Strategy & Market Development of the American Hospital Association on a 2007 publication entitled "Raising the Bar: Best Practices for Healthcare Strategic Planning."
Monica is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys, American College of Healthcare Executives, and the American, Illinois, and Chicago Bar Associations. She also serves as a Board Member of the Northern Illinois University Executive Club.
