Monica has business development and strategy experience in both start-ups and large enterprises. She returned to Cargill, joining Cargill Ventures after co-founding a logistics start-up in Portland, Oregon, and working as Vice President of Business Development for digital rights management solutions' provider, Portland Software. During her first tenure at Cargill, Monica worked in the Strategy & Business Development Group, following a year as a grain merchant. Prior to joining Cargill, Monica worked as a financial analyst at Alex Brown & Sons and as an investment associate for the World Bank.She serves on the Board of Directors for Lockdown Networks, MarkMonitor and Renessen, is an observer on the Boards of Dust Networks and Alvine Pharmaceuticals, and led the investment in Demantra (acq. by ORCL).Monica holds a B.A. in International Relations and an M.A. in Development Economics from Stanford University, and an M.B.A. from Harvard. |
