Mo Meghji is a principal and founder of Loughlin Meghji + Company and specializes in advising management, investors and creditors in the restructuring of financially challenged companies. Mo has more than 18 of years business and restructuring experience. Prior to founding LM+Co, Mo was a partner in the Restructuring Group of Arthur Andersen LLP based in New York.
Mo’s industry experience currently includes companies in the energy, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, food services, textile and real estate industries. Much of his experience has involved running the day-to-day operations (as CRO/Trustee/Interim CEO) and advising management, creditors and investors in relation to companies experiencing financial distress. Selected restructuring assignments include: Blockbuster, Inc., Covanta Energy Corporation, Pillowtex Corporation, Mariner Post-Acute Network, Interim Healthcare, Anvil Range Mining Corp., Safelite Auto Glass Corp., Dan River, Inc. US Gen New England, Inc. and HealthSouth Corp.
Mo currently sits on the Board of Directors for Anvil Knitwear, Inc.; he has previously served on the Board of Directors of a number of companies on behalf of private equity/hedge fund investors, including Mariner Health Care Inc. from 2002 until its sale in December 2004 (as a nominee of Oaktree Capital), Cascade Timberlands, LLC (on behalf of King Street Capital) and Dan River, Inc. (representing a group of financial investors).
Mo is an honors graduate with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Schulich School of Business of York University in Canada. He is a U.S. Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP), as well as a U.K. and Canadian Chartered Accountant. |
