As the Director of Product Innovation for GEN3 Partners, Dr. Verbitsky has shared his talent and expertise by managing innovation projects for Fortune 500 companies worldwide. Based on his academic research and extensive field experience, Dr. Verbitsky has made important enhancements in the GEN3: Innovation Discipline (G3:ID) by introducing new approaches to product portfolio diagnostics and innovation agenda development. Dr. Verbitsky is recognized by the scientific community for his pioneering research in different areas of geophysical fluid dynamics. His findings are widely cited in a number of textbooks, including Theoretical Geophysical Fluid Dynamics (Kluwer Academic Publishers, 1990), An Introduction to the Theory of Climate (D. Reidel Publishing Co, 1986), Ice Sheets (Oxford University Press, 1998), and Dynamical Paleoclimatology (Academic Press, 2001). Dr. Verbitsky holds a Ph.D. in Physics and Mathematics from the Institute of Oceanology, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow. In addition, Dr. Verbitsky has been awarded Doctor of Science Degree in Physics and Mathematics by the Supreme Attestation Commission of Russia. According to the degree status, only highly distinguished scientists, who establish novel directions in science, earn this degree. Dr. Verbitsky holds the title of Associate Professor from the Russian Academy of Sciences. Before joining GEN3 Partners, Dr. Verbitsky worked as Director of Software Applications and Training for Invention Machine Corporation and as a Research Scientist at Yale University where he conducted research, taught, and lectured for six years. He has been honored with visiting research and professorship positions at St. Petersburg Institute of Meteorology, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Universite Catholique de Louvain (Institute D'Astronomie et de Geophysique G. Lemaitre). In 2002-2004, Dr. Verbitsky served as the guest professor for the System Architecture course at MIT. A member of several scientific societies, committees, and international projects, Dr. Verbitsky has authored two books, 83 scientific papers, 3 patents, and a number of educational courses. |
