Mr. Afonin became the Head of the Mergers & Acquisitions Department in 2005. Prior to that Mr. Afonin was the Director of Business Development for International and CIS Business and Deputy General Manger of the International and Regional Business Unit. Mr Afonin also occupied the positions of Sales Director and Deputy Sales Director for Carrier Services, and Senior Sales Manager for Integrated Telecommunications Services. Prior to his joining Golden Telekom in 1997, Mr. Afonin worked for Deutsche Telekom AG as Sales Manager for Fixed and Mobile Telecommunications Services. Mr. Afonin is a graduate of the Moscow Institute of Radiotechnology, Electronics and Automation Cybernetics and holds a MSc in operations telecommunications from Coventry University in the UK. |
