Mike is the area manager and construction manager for Avista’s Palouse service territory in southeast Washington, and has been with the company for 27 years.
Mike was born and raised in the Great Inland Northwest, and started working at Avista in 1977 as a meter reader. He’s held many other positions during his career, including construction design representative, gas supervisor and district manager.
Mike finds it difficult to choose just one thing that he likes best about working at Avista. My fellow employees, the opportunity to meet new people, the ability to bring value to our customers, and being involved in community activities all come to mind, said Mike. I enjoy working for a company that supports the communities it serves and has leadership that values its employees and demonstrates integrity in its business dealings.
Mike is involved in a number of community, arts and economic development groups in the Palouse region. He’s a past member of the Moscow City Council, and currently on the boards of the Pullman Chamber of Commerce, Latah Economic Development Council, Palouse Economic Development Council and Inland Northwest Partners.
For fun, Mike enjoys traveling to exotic places and meeting people from different cultures, collecting antiques, big game hunting, golf and spending time with his family. |
