Michael Shuler is the James M. and Marsha B. McCormick Chair of Biomedical Egineering and the Samuel B. Eckert Professor of Chemical Engineering at Cornell University. His research focuses on applying chemical reaction engineering principles to biological systems. Dr. Shuler’s research group develops mathematical cell models and investigates targeted drug delivery. His work earned him the Amgen Award in biochemical engineering, and membership in the National Academy of Engineers and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Shuler is on the editorial boards of four scientific journals. He graduated with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Notre Dame and earned a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. |
