Michael Shanks has served as Senior Vice President of HealthGrades since January 2007. Michael is responsible for a variety of functional areas including corporate contracting, risk management, certain accounting functions and all tax related matters.
During his years at HealthGrades, Mr. Shanks was Senior Vice President (since January 2007), Vice President of Finance (May 2001 - December 2006), and Director of Tax (March 1997 - April 2001).
Mr. Shanks has over 20 years of experience in accounting and finance. His background includes 10 years with Ernst & Young, LLP in Denver where he served as a Senior Manager in the firm's tax consulting practice. Mr. Shanks received a Bachelor's in Business from Colorado State University and a Master's in Taxation from the University of Denver. He is also a Certified Public Accountant. |
