Mike Shaikh* is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm's New York office. He is a member of the Tax Department, and his practice focuses on state and local tax.
Mike was a law clerk with McDermott from June to December 2007. Prior to joining McDermott, Mike was a tax student extern at the California State Board of Equalization in Los Angeles, where he represented underprivileged clients appealing State Board of Equalization cases. He also worked for a California state and local tax law firm, partaking in tax controversy work.
While in law school, Mike was awarded the Gregory W. Goff Award, given to the top tax law student. He is currently pursuing his LL.M. from New York University School of Law
Mike is admitted to practice in California.
