Mike Nagata serves as Executive Vice President in the firm’s Tokyo office. He has 15 years experience in business consulting with over 4 years experience in executive search and recruitment in Boyden Japan and other international firms. Mike focus is in life sciences, chemicals and other advanced industries. Mike started his career in the petrochemical industry where he achieved good results in marketing and new business development over the course of 10 years. He then worked for a small computer manufacturer as Director of International Operations where he established and managed a worldwide sales network. After three years there, he formed his own company which provided business consulting services. He handled a lot of international projects in the Middle East and Asia supporting U.S. firms who were entering the Japanese market. While working in the petrochemical industry, Mike studied at the University of Technologico de Monterrey, NL, Mexico as a member of the government student exchange program between Japan and Mexico. He holds a BA of Economics from Keio University, Tokyo Japan.
