Michael McNamara was appointed vice president and partner for Passenger Services in 2002. He is responsible for the Development, Marketing, Sales and Delivery for Unisys premiere passenger services portfolio, Unisys Airline Core Systems Solutions (AirCore) and Unisys Customer Loyalty Solution. In addition, his responsibilities extend to developing and bringing to market solutions based on in-depth knowledge of customer and market requirements in the passenger services sector.
Prior to this position, Michael was vice president, Transportation for the UK and Europe. In this position he was responsible for Unisys Global Transportation sales and delivery organizations in more than 20 countries.
He has accrued 25 years of experience in all phases of airline information management and solution development. Since 1981, Michael has filled many roles for Unisys airline systems consultant, project manager, customer support and program sales and has assisted Unisys to provide and implement solutions for clients around the world, including Lufthansa, Qantas, Air France, Cathay Pacific and Air India, among others. Over the years, he has gained a thorough understanding of the industry and its needs.
Under his leadership, the customer-centric business model and Unisys Customer Loyalty Solutions business architecture took shape. He led a task force to investigate the potential of a customer-centric airline solution, which eventually became the Unisys Customer Management Strategy. Later, he led the sales of the initial solution in this portfolio to Air Miles UK (British Airways), Alitalia, Aeroflot, LOT Polish Airlines and Aer Lingus. Michael and his team have assisted Unisys airline clients develop and implement complete customer plans, providing guidance in all project phases from defining customer-specific requirements to final acceptance |
