Mike Kucha is Managing Director of Timeline Ventures, a venture capital firm based in San Diego that specializes in providing venture capital and private equity for young, high-growth enterprises and later, expansion stage companies. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors at TechnoCom, Mr. Kucha is Managing Director and Founder of Timeline Advisers, a corporate advisory services firm that helps prepare both early stage and growth companies for financing opportunities.
Mr. Kucha has more than 30 years of experience covering the practice of law, venture capital investing, business turnarounds, business ownership and board membership.
Prior to founding Timeline Ventures and Timeline Advisers, Mr. Kucha was a general partner with Idanta Partners and led a number of investments with the firm. He twice served as CEO of Iomega Corporation, once when it was a development stage private company and a second time when it was a public company with over $100 million in revenues. He was on Iomega’s board for 18 years. Mr. Kuchas other operating roles included terms as Chairman of GateField Corporation, a fabless semiconductor supplier, acting CEO of Exabyte, a manufacturer of tape drives and EVP of Micro Automation, a semiconductor equipment manufacturer.
During his career, Mr. Kucha has worked on a number of mergers and acquisitions, served on multiple boards and built successful management teams. He has invested in technology businesses, as well as, companies in more traditional industries, and thoroughly enjoys working with management teams to build successful enterprises.
Mr. Kucha holds a B.S. and an M.S. in Civil Engineering, cum laude, and a J.D., summa cum laude, from The Ohio State University. |
