Mike Gasparian is vice president and general manager of the Materials Science Solutions Unit in Agilent Technologies’ Life Sciences and Chemical Analysis business. The unit is focused on developing a microscopy and optical spectroscopy business that can be leveraged into the electronics, materials testing, life sciences and chemical analysis markets. Gasparian was most recently the vice president and general manager, customer and quality. Prior to that, he was vice president and general manager of the company’s Multi-Industry Business Unit, part of Agilent’s Electronic Measurement Group.
Gasparian joined Hewlett-Packard in 1980 with the Colorado Springs Division in manufacturing engineering. In 1987, he was named marketing manager of the Loveland Instrument Division, and was appointed general manager of the Electronic Measurements Division in 1992, responsible for development, marketing and manufacturing of basic instruments, including oscilloscopes, sources and voltmeters.
Gasparian was tapped to lead Agilent's Electronic Products and Solutions Group Worldwide Field Operations in 1999, and later headed the group's Sales and Marketing organization in 2000. He became vice president and general manager of the Multi-Industry Business Unit in September 2001.
Gasparian received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Duke University and an MBA from the University of Colorado. |
