Mike Fowler: Mike Fowler is President of SunAmerica Affordable Housing Partners, Inc. a subsidiary of AIG Retirement Services, Inc., and is Vice President of AIG Retirement Services, Inc. Mr. Fowler has been with SunAmerica since 1988 and is responsible for special tax matters of SunAmerica and its affiliates. He has been actively involved in SunAmerica's tax advantaged investments, including leveraged equipment leasing, investment tax credit and low income housing tax credit transactions. Mr. Fowler is actively involved in the acquisition of Tax Credit properties. Prior to joining SunAmerica, Mr. Fowler was Vice President, Taxes of Homestead Savings and Loan Association from 1984 to 1988 and also served as Vice President, Finance of Homestead Land Development Corporation, Homestead's real estate development arm, from 1986 to 1988. He was previously the Director of Taxation of the national real estate investment firm of Fox & Carskadon Financial Corporation (now SSR Realty Advisors, Inc.), where he was responsible for the tax review of property acquisitions and property sales, as well as partnership taxation for its public and private real estate limited partnerships. Before joining Fox & Carskadon in 1980, Mr. Fowler was a Senior Tax Accountant at Deloitte, Haskins and Sells in San Francisco. Mr. Fowler is a member of the AICPA and the California Society of CPAs. Mr. Fowler received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Washington and his Master's Degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University, San Francisco, California.
