Mike Chiang, VP of Business Development & General Manager, Japan As Vice President of Business Development for Streaming21, Mike Chiang leads Streaming21's new business development worldwide. His primary focus is to drive Streaming21's global new businesses, build strategic solutions and content partnerships, and expand Streaming21's leadership in high-definition VOD in key markets such as Japan. As General Manager of Streaming21, Japan, Chiang leads the Japanese team in solution integration, sales support and project management. His primary focus is to strengthen Streaming21's leadership position in IPTV/VOD market, and to explore new business opportunities for emerging fixed-mobile converged services in Japan. He is a proven executive with substantial expertise in streaming services, and has led Streaming21 teams to win IPTV projects at KT, TEPCO and NTT. He has over 20 years of business and technical experience in high-tech environments in the U.S. and Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Streaming21, Chiang was a Partnership Manager at Apple, where he managed business relationships with Apple's strategic developer partners across Asia, and drove the creation of solutions in publishing and multimedia. He was also the international software lead for Apple's Newton PDA, holding patents in handheld computing. Chiang received his undergraduate degree in mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley, and attended Stanford University's computer science program. ? |
