Mike Best is Senior Vice President of Acquisitions of SunAmerica Affordable Housing Partners in the Bethesda, Maryland office. Mr. Best joined SunAmerica in 1998 and focuses on acquisitions in the Northeast and Midwest of both 9% and Tax Exempt Bond tax credit transactions. Prior to joining SunAmerica, he was a Vice President of Berkshire Mortgage Finance in Bethesda, Maryland. From 1988 to 1998, Mr. Best originated mortgages on all types of apartment transactions, including tax-exempt bond and tax credit loans. From 1983 to 1988, he worked for NHP, Inc. in Washington, DC as a Vice President in the capital markets group for affordable housing raising both equity and debt. From 1979 to 1983, Mr. Best was a commercial banking officer for the Harris Bank in Chicago, Illinois. He is a graduate of DePauw University with a B.A. in Economics.
