Professor in the department of chemistry at the University of São Paulo Brazil Dr. Miguel Dabdoub serves as president of the São Paulo State Government Biodiesel Chamber. Dabdoub also is head of Biodiesel Brazil a program that seeks to reduce the country’s dependence on foreign petroleum diesel. In May 2006 Earth Biofuels partnered with Dr. Dabdoub to form Earth Biofuels Technology Company. Through this partnership he contributed an exclusive license for the use of his proprietary technologies in North and South America for Earth Biofuels Technology Co. Accordingly the company plans to utilize Dr. Dabdoub's proprietary technologies to design and construct biodiesel production facilities.
