Michonne Ascuaga is the CEO of John Ascuaga’s Nugget Casino Resort in Sparks, Nevada. Michonne ascended into this role in 1997, becoming (at the time) the second woman to head a major Northern Nevadan casino-hotel property.
Michonne, a northern Nevada Native, has more than 20 years of experience in varied areas throughout the casino-resort property, including marketing, sales, credit and accounting. Her first position was as a mail opener during summer vacation when she was 13 years old. She is an active community supporter,
highlighted by board memberships in a variety of organizations including Center for Basque Studies, UNR Foundation, Sierra Arts Foundation, Nevada Women’s Fund, Forum for a Common Agenda and U.S. Bank of Nevada. |
