As the Senior Vice President for Microsoft's Central Marketing Group, Mich Mathews oversees the professional excellence and development of the company's global marketing function.
She is responsible for driving integrated marketing communications through the company's branding, advertising, public relations, research, events, packaging, relationship marketing and internal communications functions.
She is responsible for the global positioning of the Microsoft Corporation and its "Realizing Potential" brand campaign.
She is also accountable for the global positioning of the Microsoft Corporation and the marketing of Microsoft's brand proposition worldwide.
Mathews began her career with Microsoft in 1989 as a consultant in the U.K. She later joined Microsoft in 1993 to lead its Corporate Public Relations function and was named an officer of the corporation in 1999. She has held a succession of marketing positions in Microsoft including vice president of Corporate Communications and vice president of its Central Marketing Organization. Prior to working with Microsoft, Mathews spent three years at General Motors.
Mathews reports to the chief operating officer, Kevin Turner. She resides in Washington state with her husband and two children. |
