Dr. Hughes is the coordinator for the Cochlear Implant Program at Boys Town National Research Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. She has dozens of publications and presentations in the area of cochlear implants and is the principal investigator for an NIH funded grant to assess the electrophysiologic and psychophysical channel interaction in cochlear implants.
