In an organization as customer-driven as ASAP, it is Michelle Anastasi's responsibility to take care of the internal customers the company's employees. As vice president, human resources, she is responsible for maximizing the potential of ASAP's employees and for creating an infrastructure to attract, develop, retain and inspire talented co-workers.
Michelle joined ASAP in 1991 and soon was charged with leading the creation of the company's formal human resources (HR) function. She quickly became a driving force behind the development of the programs and practices that define and reflect the company's culture. She has shaped an effective HR strategy that’s linked closely with corporate objectives, fostered cultural and HR integration with Europe, supported programs and processes that have enabled the company to sustain its rapid growth, and developed the highly-acclaimed ASAP University, with its unique model of subject matter expert-led instruction.
Today, ASAP offers a broad range of career options and benefits addressing both the professional and personal needs of its employees. Under Michelle's guidance, ASAP supports a unique and award-winning culture that is recognized as one of the Top 25 Best Places to Work in Chicago by Chicago Magazine.
Michelle earned her BS in business administration from Indiana University and an MBA at Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management. She is active with MRA-The Management Association and is a member of their Compensation Committee and Senior HR Roundtable in Illinois. She is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, and its local chapter, the Northern Illinois Society for Human Resources. In addition, Michelle has earned her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification.
