Ms. Abroms concentrates her practice in tax controversy matters before the IRS, U.S. Tax Court, Court of Federal Claims, and federal district courts. In her practice, Ms. Abroms represents large financial institutions, multinational corporations, and individuals at various stages of federal income tax controversy, including audit, administrative appeals, and judicial proceedings. Most recently, Ms. Abroms appeared before court in a trial that spanned 45 days, Fidelity International Currency Advisor A Fund, L.L.C. v. United States, No. 05-40151 & 06-40130 (D. Mass.); Fidelity High Tech Advisor A Fund, L.L.C. v. United States, Nos. 06-4-243 & 06-40244 (D. Mass.).
Ms. Abroms regularly provides pro bono representation to low income taxpayers, successfully settling matters before the U.S. Tax Court.
While at the University of Texas School of Law, Ms. Abroms served as a staff editor for the Texas International Law Journal.
