Michelle Osinski's practice focuses on counseling individuals and companies in protecting and enforcing intellectual property and reducing and managing the risk of infringing the intellectual property of others. She has experience in patent, trademark, and copyright prosecution and related litigation. As an undergraduate, Ms. Osinski worked as a research assistant in the Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. During law school, she clerked for the City of Detroit legal department in the litigation practice group.

Preparing and prosecuting U.S. patent applications in a variety of technical areas, including the automotive field (e.g., multilayer tubing, steering wheels, sealing systems) and armor composites, facilitating foreign patent protection, and preparing patentability and infringement analysis opinions
Preparing and prosecuting U.S. trademark applications, facilitating foreign trademark protection, and preparing trademark registrability and clearance opinions
Counseling clients regarding protection and enforcement of valuable trademarks, proper trademark use, and resolution of trademark disputes, including disputes before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board
Preparing and prosecuting U.S. copyright applications
Assisting clients with domain name dispute resolution, including filing complaints with the National Arbitration Forum, an approved provider of the Uniform Dispute Resolution Policy by ICANN
Assisting with intellectual property issues in corporate transactions and reviewing and drafting intellectual property agreements, including licensing agreements
Providing research and litigation support in patent and trademark disputes. |
