Michelle Limaj is an Associate in the firm's Business Department. Her practice focuses on the needs of early stage life sciences companies, including organizational documents, agreements among founders, venture capital financing transactions and managing day-to-day corporate legal matters. Michelle also assists public companies with securities law compliance, corporate governance, and stockholder transactions.
In addition to her corporate work, Michelle maintains an active pro bono practice. She represents victims of domestic violence as well as asylum seekers in Massachusetts district and immigration courts. She also assists public charities with obtaining tax exemption and complying with federal and state non-profit laws.
Before joining Foley Hoag LLP, Michelle spent eight years as a communications officer with international organizations including the United Nations, the International Organization for Migration and Physicians for Human Rights. She has also consulted for a number of aid agencies and academic institutions on communications matters.
