Michele Volpi was appointed group president and general manager of H.B. Fuller’s Global Adhesives group in December 2004. Global Adhesives is H.B. Fuller’s largest operating segment, generating nearly $1.0 billion in company sales. In this position, he oversees all Strategic Business Units (Converting, Nonwoven, Assembly, and Footwear) as well as EFTEC, the company’s automotive businesses. Volpi also oversees the company’s adhesives operations in the four regions of Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America and North America.
Volpi joined H.B. Fuller in June 2002 as Global SBU manager for the Assembly business where he was a strong leader, guiding that group to good top- and bottom-line performance in difficult conditions. Before coming to Fuller, Volpi worked for the General Electric Company where he served as general manager of marketing for the Polymershapes business unit and European marketing director for the structured products business. Prior to that, he worked for The Boston Consulting Group and Habasit. Volpi has more than 16 years of marketing, sales, general management and global scope expertise.
A native of Florence, Italy, Volpi is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt and holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business administration from Bocconi University of Milan. |
