Michele Riess, senior vice president, heads the worldwide Gartner human resources organization. Riess works in partnership with the senior team to align Gartner people strategies with business objectives. She leads the effort to establish an environment of exceptional professional development for Gartner associates worldwide to ensure that Gartner is a company where the best and the brightest want to work.
Before joining Gartner, Riess held HR responsibility for shared services within ADP, managing a team of 140 HR professionals who supported 24,000 associates in seven business units. Prior to this role, Riess led HR for ADP's employers services group and corporate staff. During her tenure, she aligned HR to ADP's business goals, radically improving the HR organization's ability to support the business.
Prior to ADP, Riess held HR roles of increasing responsibility at the Home Insurance Company where she led the HR function for a division of 1,000 associates in multiple locations. In this role, Riess contributed to the division's turnaround through the implementation of a number of HR initiatives.
Riess has a bachelor's degree in business management and marketing from Cornell University. |
