Michele Estep is Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer for Sun National Bank.
In this position, Ms. Estep oversees the bank’s Human Resources, Payroll, Facilities, Project Management and Purchasing departments. Her role includes management of the bank’s recruiting, retention and hiring practices and procedures, as well as the administration of benefits and payroll services. She also oversees the operations related to the bank’s branch network, including vendor contracts, new location construction and growth strategies, consolidations and divestitures. She manages the daily operations of these support groups, continuously working to streamline their operations to better serve the bank’s revenue-generating lines of business and contribute to the bank’s expense management initiatives.
Ms. Estep joined Sun in April 2008 and brings more than 15 years of experience to her position. Prior to joining the bank, she held successive leadership roles at KeyBank in Albany, New York, including Assistant Vice President- Human Resources Generalist, Vice President - Senior Human Resources
Generalist, and Senior Vice President - Human Resources Relationship Manager. At Key, she served an integral role in building the bank’s consumer, investment and commercial banking teams. During her tenure at Key, she gained extensive human resources and management experience and served as a strategic catalyst to grow the bank within its lines of business and geographic districts.
Ms. Estep earned a master’s of Business Administration from the State University of New York at Albany and a bachelor of science in Personnel and Industrial Relations from Syracuse University. In Albany, she served on the board of the St. Catherine’s Foundation for Children and Equinox, Inc., a nonprofit organization focused on community services, including domestic violence and counseling services, as well as other community-centric programs.
