As BoardWalk’s Director of Operations, Michelle Bufkin (michelle@boardwalkconsulting.com) brings more than 15 years of financial, human resource and management experience to the company. Responsible for BoardWalk’s operations infrastructure, she develops and manages systems that support the firm’s vision.
Michelle joined BoardWalk after 11 years with Porter Novelli, one of the world’s top public relations firms. Her tenure began with Porter Novelli’s technology subsidiary, Copithorne & Bellows, where she assisted in launching and establishing the Southeast office. As operations manager, Michelle contributed to the physical merger and integration efforts throughout the transition of the Atlanta Copithorne & Bellows and Porter Novelli merger.
Michelle’s human resources leadership and commitment to the company’s culture contributed to the PN Atlanta’s accomplishment of being named one of Atlanta’s Best Places to Work by Atlanta Magazine. Michelle was also a key member of Porter Novelli’s Work Wonders, an internal philanthropy campaign designed to promote employee charity contributions.
With previous experience in both finance and human resources leadership, Michelle reinforces the alignment between BoardWalk’s resources and objectives and those of our clients.
Michelle attended Georgia State University where she majored in accounting. She is also a certificated paralegal who obtained her instruction from The National Center for Paralegal Training, which she attended on scholarship. Michelle is a certified Professional in Human Resources and a member of the Society of Human Resource Management.
Michelle’s passions include painting pottery and facilitating summer youth camps in Ukraine. When not at BoardWalk, Michelle can be found following and promoting her husband’s rock-n-roll band as their lead roadie and biggest fan. |
