As Executive Vice President of Stores and Talbots Kids Michele is responsible for all Talbots U.S. women's retail operations including sales volume profitability in-store merchandise presentation and human resource development. In addition she sets the strategic direction for all aspects of the Talbots Kids business.
Michele joined Talbots in 1983 as a store manager and has assumed steadily increasing positions of responsibility. She was promoted to Senior Vice President Stores in 1992. Her previous experience includes positions as women's sportswear buyer and manager with Price's of Oakland a women's specialty retailer based in Pittsburgh and as women's sportswear buyer for A.E. Troutman Company a division of Allied Stores Inc. in Indiana Pennsylvania.
