Mike is the Chief Technical Officer of Melodis Corporation. He currently manages the day-to-day operation of the Melodis Lab, overlooking a team of scientists, researchers and engineers. Mike is responsible for most of Melodis' innovations and inventions in algorithm design and optimization. In the early days of the company, he was able to speed up the first version of the Melodis audio recognition engine by a factor of one million. After completing his freshman year at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mike transferred to Stanford University where he met James Hom, Keyvan Mohajer and Majid Emami. Mike and James teamed up as finalists of the I-challenge competition at Stanford in 2002 where they wrote a business plan on an idea that contributed to the formation of Melodis. Mike has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Stanford University. |
