As the founder and CEO of Sensor System Solutions, Michael Young? responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day operations and developing and implementing the Company? overall strategy including the development of strategic partnerships and funding. His focus is on providing vision for specialty products to bring new levels of intelligent controls and monitoring to process-oriented industries. These products include wireless data acquisition and sensor interface devices, intelligent data collection and distribution products, and wireless data network portals.
Michael? 20-year career includes expertise in micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) sensor design, fabrication, packaging and applications development, and optical switches for telecommunications. He is responsible for leading the Company? vision through leveraging his technical expertise and a broad range of business experiences.
Michael has experience developing products for the military including developing several micromachined capacitive and piezoresistive accelerometers, for flight test and Inertial Measurement Unit in guidance for short range missiles. He also developed a miniature Air Data Sensor for Northrop? Brilliant Anti-armor (BAT) program.
Michael? automotive industry experience includes developing a smart solid-state piezoresistive accelerometer for car crash testing and MAP and TMAP pressure sensors for engine control. The Company has formed a joint venture with China Automotive, the largest domestic steering column supplier in China, to pursue automotive sensor business in china and India.
Michael? prior experience at companies like Rosemount, Endevco, Hughes Aircraft and others has provided him with a strong background in identifying market opportunities, defining product configuration, training, sales, benchmarking competitors, setting up production equipment and processes and interfacing with customers.
Michael Young received his master Degree in mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan.
