Michael Yablonski is of counsel to Meyer, Unkovic & Scott LLP.Mr. Yablonski has represented plaintiffs and defendants before trial and appellate courts and in arbitration on a wide variety of commercial and complex litigation matters. He has handled cases involving major construction projects, federal antitrust and RICO claims, commercial landlord-tenant disputes, breach of contract and economic torts in real estate developments and sales of businesses. Mr. Yablonski also has defended numerous negligence and products liability personal injury claims.Mr. Yablonski received his Juris Doctor degree in 1987 from George Washington University, where he was elected to the Order of Coif. He received a Master of Science degree in journalism from Northwestern University in 1979, and a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh in 1976.Mr. Yablonski is an executive editor of Litigation News, a bi-monthly publication of the American Bar Association's Section of Litigation and one of the nation's most widely circulated legal periodicals. Mr. Yablonski is also a member of the Engineers Society of Western Pennsylvania. Prior to attending law school, he spent six years as a journalist and was a member of a reporting team that won a Pulitzer Prize in 1982 for their investigation into the cause of the skywalks collapse in Kansas City's Hyatt Regency Hotel. |
