Michael Thamm (43) was appointed President of AIDA Cruises in June 2004.
Since 1993 Thamm, who has a bachelor of commerce degree, has been a significant force in the establishment and expansion of the AIDA fleet. As Senior Vice President of Operations at AIDA Cruises, he was responsible for all aspects of operation of the cruise ships including the deck, engine, hotel and entertainment areas. In addition, he was in charge of the development, building and the putting into operation of newbuilding projects.
Michael Thamm is married and lives with his wife and two children in Rostock. He chairs the Cruise Council of the German Travel Organisation (DRV). |
